I've been on this path of self examination and realized that I haven't done any thoughts or confession posts since last year. Crazy. So here a few random items/ thoughts/ musings/ confessions of late...

:: I like to walk through the rain without an umbrella even though a stereotype dictates the opposite.

:: I don't care what anyone says. Jeggings is the greatest thing ever.

:: It bothers me to see store displays of Christmas items before Halloween.

:: Victoria Beckham is the business. Ever since I watched her tv special a few years ago I've been a fan ever since. Can't hate on a girl that doesn't take herself that seriously.

:: Current obsession: Owls.

:: Mr. J continues to amaze me with his wise words and anecdotes. (A message to him: Start playing it again.)

:: The kindness and support of strangers has proved that stepping out of my comfort zone can be fruitful. I will do it more often. Trust.

:: I'm sad that my old friend is moving to New York.

:: However, at least I have another place to visit.

Anthropologie Soap Dishes As Home Décor | Pretty Neat

Yesterday, Anthropologie had a sizable home sale making me squeal with glee as I beelined it to my local store near my office. I do admit to not paying as much attention to Anthro's sales of late for monetary reasons but have been keeping an eye out for their home sales (I simply adore their home goods). After nabbing some candles, votives, and some trinket boxed (read: gifts and floral containers), while perusing the store my eyes locked onto some beautiful soap dishes too pretty to be used for their intended purposes. These dishes would be a pretty décor addition to hold jewelry, keys, trinkets or to just have on display.

I bought this soap dish with my birthday discount to hold earrings.

Cooling Effect | Killing Me Softly

There is something mildly cooling about these images of Keira Knightley by photographer Lorenzo Aguis. Perhaps it’s the icy blue cardigan paired with the pale and fluffy ball gown or barren trees and cold concrete. Whatever it is, I want to be there…rocking this outfit, of course.

Some Inspiration from HomeLife | Monday Musing

Last night, I returned from my two-wedding weekend excursion too tired to write Monday's post, hence the late posting. Sadly, I've been nursing a gnarly headache from not so great wedding djs, so I'm not totally 100%. Today will be spent catching up on my favorite blogs and reviving my long neglected Pinterest page (if you would like an invite, drop me a note). However, I won't leave you hanging, recently I rediscovered a site in my favorites that not only has some beautiful inspiration but some d.i.y. instructions for home that could even be applied to a wedding. HomeLife is the home site for Australian publications Country Style Australia, Notebook, and Inside Out magazines. Be sure to check out their gallery section for some lovely ideas. Address Stamps by Note Trunk | Charming Finds

Thanks to this style shoot by Eva Lindh, I've been toying with the idea of creating some holiday gift packages (emphasis on toying). Needless to say, doing such a thing would be a daunting task that involves a lot of sourcing and planning ahead. So, I'm starting off light with some address stamps from Note Trunk, naturally! Late and Hurried

Good afternoon! First and foremost, many apologies for posting so late. Today I've been in a state of hurried mess because I will be flying out of town later tonight.

This year, I'll only be attending two weddings which are both taking place this weekend - a dinner reception on Saturday in Northern California followed by a lunch reception on Sunday back here in Southern California. I know...random. So, instead of doing a quick trip, I decided to spend a few extra days visiting family and friends.

Naturally, being a procrastinator and all, I waited till the last minute to do some important things like pack but managed to forget only a belt so that's an improvement. However, I did manage to have some posts lined up for the rest of the week. Priorities! So until then, have a delightful day. See you soon!

Collection: Romantic Rainfall by Filippa K

Finally! Some Fall weather here in Southern California. Not only was it cool yesterday but it also rained. What a great way to start out October!  I love this kind of weather. All I want to do is stay home, wrap myself in a nice warm blanket, and watch TV. Unfortunately, I have to trek to the office but that’s okay. A warm cardigan perhaps from Filippa K and nice hot cup of tea will do.
